What the heck would I blog about? My life, duh. Quite honestly, I do have a lot of exciting things going on in my life right now! Some of them include: getting married, moving into our brand new home, painting our home (this week!), planning our wedding, getting a new car, sharing stories about my one and only super cute, sweet, lovable nephew and SO much more!
Onto the next...who is interested in my life enough to hear me blab about it daily? ME! Even if I don't have any other followers, I am think it is so awesome to have something to look back on in years to come.
Since I am very new (and feeling a little nervous), bare with me while I get adapted to the blog world.
A little reflection on our weekend:
On Friday, I was fortunate to get out of work a little bit early and get a headstart on my weekend. It was such a relief because work has been stressing me out WAY. TOO. MUCH. lately! I was anxious to get home because Matt's parents were in town for his sister's graduation and had stopped by our house for a quick visit. Initially, I didn't think I was going to make it home in time to see them but I ended up getting home in time to see them. We then went out with our fabulous friends for dinner and drinks. Well actually, let me rephrase that...THREE of us had drinks. My friend Lindsey (& her husband Justin) are expecting a little buddle of joy :) We are extremely excited for them & are due in August!!! Lindsey will be one suuuuuper pregnant Maid of Honor at our wedding! Hanging with them is always a good time. Matt and Justin are like two peas in a pod and are content as long as they are enjoying a big 'ol glass of beer and discussing which kind of beer they are going to brew next! Linds was able to talk me into helping her fulfull her "pregnancy craving" and getting a blizzard from DQ! An excuse to eat ice cream? I'm in!
As if eating out for dinner on Friday night wasn't enough, we met up with Emily and Nick at a local bar to watch the OSU basketball games. The Buckeyes kicked butt (as usual) and our outing allowed me to spend some QT time with E-tastic! Since, at this point, our schedule contained all play and no work, we decided to be ULTRA productive and cross a few things off of our wedding "to do" list. We checked out some tuxes for Matt and his groomsmen to wear! We got some ideas but will go back when we have a swatch for the girls' dresses to get a better idea of what we will need! We moved onto Bed, Bath and Beyond to do what every engaged couple looks forward to! It was wonderful to experience this with Matt but I must say, it was exhausting! It took about 3 hours! By the end, we were tired, hungry, thirsty and ready to sit down! Saturday evening we decided to meet up with some friends to bowl. We had a fantastic time and it was great to see some friends that we haven't visited with in a while. The bowling alley that we went to had the best sweet potato friends. I would go back there
Sunday = stay in the house ALL day! Although the majority of our day was productive, we also got a lot of relaxing in! We are getting our house painted tomorrow so we had to go through our entire house and take everything off of the walls. It was quite a project...especially because we just put everything up about 4 months ago. Our house looks really empty- it's making me crazy (not a long trip) and I cannot wait to put it all back up! Sundays at this house are always full of LOTS of laundry as well. I'm trying to get my butt in shape for the wedding which means lots of treadmill time for me. Working out always feels SO good when you are done but such a drag while in action. I've found that the best way to forget what I'm actually doing is to put a good movie on that I'm totally into...works like a charm :)
So already, on my first day of blogging, I've learned one very important lessions. I RAMBLE WAY TOO MUCH. I will work on this, I promise! :) I don't plan on telling anyone about this blog
Hopefully a good weekend was had by all!
